Getting The Media To Cover MLM
Media editors have long been very skeptical of multi-level marketing. Many refuse to even consider a press release about an MLM opportunity.
A lot of this is based on out-of-date attitudes. When they think of MLM, many editors still see old uncle Harry at the family reunion, twisting arms to join Amway.
Start your MLM press release with a bit of a refresher course for editors. One good way is to point to how many big corporations have embraced network marketing with good results. Sprint launched a big MLM division, and their profits got a very nice boost. Other big corporations are following Sprint's lead.
Also point out how home-based business is booming. We now have 60 million people in North America working a business from home. These days almost all my neighbors have home businesses, so I suspect the numbers might actually be much higher. MLM is a good way for some people to start a home business. Just show the editor how networking is the logical answer to a major home business trend.
You can also point out how the Internet has completely changed the dynamics of MLM. It's no longer just selling to friends, co- workers, and family. Thousands of like-minded members can work together online to find other people who share their interests. The Internet allows solo individuals to network together, forming an organization that rivals any Fortune 500 corporation.
These ideas also work for affiliate programs and reseller arrangements.
