What to Put in Your Autoresponders

Free autoresponders are everywhere. And we've all heard about how they are a powerful tool for giving you follow-up selling with no effort. After all, most customers won't buy the first time. They only buy when you remind them to buy

Try writing an information "article" to put in your autoresponder. I put article in quotations because it doesn't have to be anything like a regular article. One man does well with a series of top 10 lists. Top ten ways to get on search engines; top ten ways to get visitors to your order form. It could just as easily be Top Ten Ways to Improve The Look of Your Yard.

They key is to zero in on a specific, precise audience of people who are deeply interested in a particular issue.

Your autoresponder article can simply offer news about a new project or service. Explain why you developed it, how it works, quote folks who are using it, what benefit it brings, and how the autoresponder reader can get a special deal.

Courses are also good. People love to get a seven lesson course on a popular topic. It can be delivered to them each day, or every other day, or even once a week. This can keep you on their mind for days, weeks, even months--until the sale comes in.
